Fishing consists of equipping a rod with line, hook and bait or lure, casting it into the water and waiting for or attracting fish. To be successful, choose the right equipment for the location, whether river, sea or lake, prepare strong knots, cast in passing areas and retrieve naturally to tempt the fish. Basic equipment and preparation: Rod and reel: for beginners, a medium-action rod between 2.10 and 2.70 meters and a reel size 2500 to 4000 are versatile and easy to handle. Line: 0.25 mm to 0.30 mm monofilament is the most recommended for beginners because it is elastic and easy to tie. Hooks and sinkers: the hook size should be chosen according to the bait you are going to use. Sinkers help keep the bait at the desired depth. Bait: you can use natural baits such as worms, bread, dough or pieces of fish, or artificial lures that imitate small fish.
